Nice raclette at Monika and Olivier’s and a trip through the heartland of Switzerland

Hotel Plattenhof is a nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood, near the University. Yesterday morning it was even more quiet, because it was Sunday morning… Hotel Plattenhof calls itself a design hotel and that is true. Everywhere is trendy, but especially functional design, also in the hotel rooms. Even in the corridors and in the stairwell was multi-coloured design! Continue reading

The calmness and the force of water

Today a second voyage by ship was on my program: from the harbour of Constance to Schaffhausen over the western part of the Lake Constance, the Untersee, and the start of the navigable river Rhine to Schaffhausen. Sculptures and relaxation

After my arrival last Monday I have indeed been able to enjoy the quietness and the hospitality at Hotel Altana. I still was rather active ‘though. On Wednesday, July 4th, I made again one of the walks which are my favourites when I do not want to make so much effort: from Scuol to Sur En, about a one-and-a-half hour on foot alongside the river Inn.
